New York-based provider of colocation ColoGuard has said that it partnered with VoIP solutions provider IPsmarx (News - Alert) Technology to host an event for entrepreneurs who were looking to start or expand businesses in the rapidly growing VoIP market.
The two companies created a one-stop shop for business people looking to start a VoIP company, said Ruben Magurdumov, co-founder and vice president of ColoGuard and its sister company GalaxyVisions, adding that the meetings showcased both ColoGuard's state-of-the-art facility, which is fine-tuned for VoIP and IPsmarx's world-class technology and solutions.
At the event, the growing market for VoIP and calling card services were centric to the presentation and the demonstration. Attendees could access the resources needed to start a VoIP business or expand the existing one. Company officials said that the event focused on IPsmarx's Calling Card and Pinless and Multi-Tenant IP-PBX (News - Alert) Solutons, growing revenue and how to capitalize on the end of the year peak VoIP traffic season.
“We enjoyed meeting new clients and re-connecting with existing clients who are based in New York,” said Carrie Fedders, sales manager for the U.S. at GalaxyVisions. “With a partner like Cologuard, we can rest assured that our clients will have secure and reliable hardware and bandwidth to sustain their growth.”
Additionally, ColoGuard has also announced a special offer designed to make entry into the VoIP market, easy. “With this deal, there's never been a better time than now to launch a VoIP startup,” Magurdumov said.
The new customers of the company, who order a dedicated VoIP server or colocated VoIP system, will receive a free month of service when they prepay for six months, said company officials. And customers who prepay for a year will receive three months free, or 15 months for a low price. The special offer is available through the end of September.
Though calling cards have been available since the 1980s, they have become increasingly popular since the economic downturn. The research firm Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) predicts the North America prepaid calling card market will reach $2.14 billion this year.
Last year, ColoGuard and IPsmarx entered into an alliance that gives IPsmarx’s customers access to ColoGuard’s network and to parent company GalaxyVisions’ world-class dedicated managed services.
Earlier in July, ColoGuard waived setup fees for new clients who install equipment on the roof of its data center.
