nexMatrix Telecom, the manufacturer of the Protel PBX (News - Alert) premises PBX, the Protelity hosted PBX platform, nexSwitch level 4 & 5 softswitches and the ATLANTIS suite of CRM/SCM/ERP applications, has announced beta 2 of Protelity hosted PBX.
Officials with nexMatrix Telecom said Protelity is a multitenant IP-PBX combined with an automated billing system, timeshared to a nexMatrix nexSwitch.
This, company officials said, allows any company to become a hosted PBX provider and to offer SIP trunks to end-users while taking advantage of wholesale SIP rates from nexMatrix.
According to company officials, the billing interface provides wide range of flexibility in setting up user accounts, with provisions for an unlimited number of user-defined rate plans and automated credit card billing using a built-in API, or with optional paper invoicing for monthly mailing.
Beta 2 for Protelity includes major enhancements to the end-user experience screens and the addition of several automated features, including auto-provisioning of DID’s and the ability for each customer to make routine changes to their phone configuration without directly involving their provider.
Dianne Ursini, C.E.O. of nexMatrix, in a statement, said the Protelity platform enables virtually any organization to become a Telco, without investing in expensive softswitch and billing solutions.
“By timesharing the sophisticated abilities of our nexSwitch technology, we are essentially giving companies of any size the ability to rebrand and resell hosted PBX and SIP trunks without the back-end headaches,” Ursini said.
“We take care of FCC (News - Alert) tax collection, rate deck compilation, number porting and DID assignments so that the provider can concentrate on managing their customers’ phone configurations and provide value-added service to their end-users,” she added.
Ursini said that there are still some slots available in the beta 2 phase of development, with substantial discounts available to reseller partners for a short time before Beta 3 is made available.
