Nampa, Idaho-based manufacturer of full suite of telecommunication solutions nexMatrix Telecom has unveiled its newest PBX (News - Alert) device, the µSOHO. Built on the highly successful Raspberry Pi hardware platform, µSOHO is ready for pre-orders. It will be commercially available to the public early next year.
µSOHO has been developed as a full-featured IP telephone appliance, capable of handling up to 10 SIP extensions. Coming complete with setup wizard, µSOHO allows for hassle free configuration of extensions. It also supports auto-attendants, ring groups, dialplans and SIP trunks features.
nexMatrix is a manufacturer of the Protel PBX premises PBX, the Protelity hosted PBX platform, nexSwitch level 4 & 5 softswitches and the ATLANTIS suite of CRM/SCM/ERP applications. A nexMatrix softswitch is a powerful, robust signaling engine with a number of optional add-ons, allowing clients to deliver carrier grade VoIP services.
The users of Grandstream phones can leverage the auto-provisioning feature to use the PBX as a traditional key system. Instead of wizard, the µSOHO PBX can be programmed using the same easy-to-use interface that is the hallmark of the entire Protel PBX product line.
µSOHO makes an ideal solution for the family power-users, home offices and small businesses with 10 or fewer extensions. Priced at $349.99, the unit will be sold directly to end-users through nexMatrix value-added resellers and a major distributor.
The release candidate version of this PBX will be offered to up to 75 test users at a substantial discount, as a part of a first-come-first serve promotion.
“The µSOHO PBX is one of the only commercially available products at this price point. When the final µSOHO PBX product is released to the public early next year, we believe that there will be numerous opportunities for telephone, technical services and IT professionals to provide value-added assistance to purchasers of this PBX. Many end-users will be able to configure their phone system on their own using the setup wizard application that will be included. We will be referring all end-user requests for technical support to our reseller partners,” C.E.O. of nexMatrix Dianne Ursini noted in a statement.
nexMatrix recently opened a new office in Nampa, ID for manufacturing expansion. The new office is an important step in realizing the company’s goals for opening new global markets, starting with the Asia-Pacific region for the start of its expansion opportunities.
